Frances Cole Stokes was born July 28, 1936 to Carl and Mable Cole in Boyle, MS where she grew up and attended school. Frances Cole Stokes loved people and she never met a stranger. She was an avid reader and loved to watch sports on television.   She was a sales manager over 30 years for Tillman furniture store. Frances was very active member of her church as well as the community. She taught English Language to several families at Co-Lin community college.  She was such an optimistic minded lady who had a nurturing personality.  After retirement, she spent her days surrounded by her family and was absolutely adored by her children and granddaughter., Frances was a godly woman who knew and loved the Lord and her family. 

 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Henry Marlow Stokes, her son, Henry Stokes, her parents, Carl and Mable Cole, 1 sister Carla Swarner.

 

She is survived by her one daughter, Frances Ann Arnold and her husband Timmy of Prairieville, LA, 1 son, Steve Stokes and his wife Sondra of Braxton, MS, 3 sisters, Eloise Holmes and her husband Gary., Sara Thomas and her husband Charlie., and Jane Rouse., 3 brothers, Larry Cole and his wife Anita., Gerald Cole and his wife Wanda., John Cole and his wife Debra., one granddaughter, Amy Rogers and her husband Charlie of Hammond, LA.

 

A special thank you to a family friend and caregiver Maggie Bridges.

 

In Lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations would be made to the Pearl Valley Baptist Church located at 2080 Pearl Valley Rd, Wesson, MS, 39191.
