Mrs. Edith Trussell 79, of Ridgeland, MS was called home to be with the Lord on December 09, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017. At Brister Cemetery on Brister Rd in Durant, MS.

Edith was born on December 29, 1937 to Johnny Virgil “Billy” & Rachel McBride in Durant, MS.  Where she grew up and graduated from Durant High School.  After school she married the love of her life Cecil Howard Trussell. Edith worked for many years with the Mississippi Rehabilitation for the blind as an administrative assistant until retiring. In her spare time, she loved to do arts and crafts, but most of all she loved spending her time surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Cecil Howard Trussell, and her parents, Johnny Virgil McBride & Rachel Melton McBride., one brother, Virgil McBride.

Edith is survived by her two sons, Gregg Trussell and his wife Cynthia of Canton, MS., Dan Trussell of Clinton, MS., She is also survived by four grandchildren, Mallory Trussell Godfrey and her husband Derrick of Jackson, MS., Taylor Trussell Stover and her husband Josh of Ridgeland, MS., Abby Trusell of Canton, MS., Daniel Tyler Trussell of Clinton, MS.
