C. Kay Roland Largel of Madison, MS and Eagle Lake, MS was born in 1937, in Shreveport, LA. Ms. Largel was raised on Eagle Lake, MS and graduated from Redwood High School. She attended Hinds Junior College, Raymond, MS and Columbia State College, Columbia, TN. Ms. Largel was employed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson as an Administrative Assistant, working in the establishment of the Child Development Clinic, the Respiratory Therapy Department and the Department of Family Medicine. After marriage to Dick Largel and a move to Nashville, TN in 1981, she was the Business Manager of the Vanderbilt School of Nursing. Later, she became a committed advocate for victims of violent crime and was the first State Victim Liaison for MADD Tennessee State Office. She then served as the first Victim Liaison for the Tennessee Office of the Attorney General. She was a Communicant of St. Columb’s Episcopal Church, Ridgeland, MS. She is predeceased by first husband, Ralph McLellan, Jr., husband, Dick Largel of Madison and Tampa, Fl; father, Dean Roland, mother, Stephana Aldridge; stepfather, K. E. Aldridge; and brother, Tommy Roland. She is survived by her children- Ralph McLellan III, Karen Parker, Janet (Teresa) McLellan, Sunny Gwen Kraft, Brian (Alan) McLellan; and stepchildren; Michelle (Pablo) Astello and Rick Largel. She is also survived by siblings Stephanie Cook and John (Louise) Roland; and grandchildren- Nicholas Wilkerson, Adam, Jordan and Ryan Owens, Matthew Astello, Lucas Largel, and Heather McLellan. A memorial service will be on Saturday March 1, 2025, at St. Columb's Episcopal Church with visitation at 10:00am and service at 11:00am.
