Obituary of David Michael Hardin

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
David Michael Hardin, born March 14, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 71. Mike grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, where he attended McClure Academy before continuing his education at Hinds Community College. A talented musician, he played trombone in the college band, a skill that reflected his lifelong appreciation for music and dedication to teamwork. A proud Army veteran, Mike carried the values of service and leadership throughout his life. He was a devoted mentor as the Boy Scout Troop Leader for Troop 589, guiding and inspiring young men to develop character, responsibility, and resilience. His professional life was marked by a long and distinguished career as Vice President of Operations for Brown Bottling Group, where his leadership and work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and employees alike. After retirement, Mike embraced his greatest joy—spending time with his two young grandsons, Easton and Beckett, at the ballpark. Whether cheering from the stands or coaching from the sidelines, he found immense happiness in watching them grow and play. Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Debbie; his son, Wesley Hardin, and daughter-in-law, Kim; his cherished grandsons, Easton and Beckett; his brothers, Tom Hardin (Christi) and Andy Hardin(Donna); and two nieces and two nephews. Mike will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, steadfast friend, and a man of deep integrity. His legacy of kindness, leadership, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
