Peggy B. Peterson was born September 7, 1945, and was the daughter of Ithames V. Boone and Irma Tynes Carr Boone. A native of Monticello, Peggy was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was an educator. She was President of MAE and also worked as a staff member to Governor Mabis. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bruce W. Peterson. Visitation will be at St. Matthews United Methodist Church on Thursday March 20, 2025, from 10:00am until 11:00am. The funeral service will be at 11:00am at the church with interment to follow in Tynes Family Cemetery in Monticello.
