Jimmy Louis Arthur, 76, from Madison, previously of Hattiesburg for over 40 years, passed away on March 31, 2025 at Baptist Hospital with his family by his side. Jimmy was a native of Jackson, Mississippi. He was born August 14, 1948 and was the son of Billy Pete Arthur and Hazel Anna Thompson Arthur. Jimmy served during the Vietnam era in the U.S. Army. After his service he was a marketing associate for Sysco Foods. Jimmy is survived by his loving spouse of 52 years, Susan Stuart Arthur; daughter, Shannon Arthur Jones and husband Hugh of Greenwood, SC; son, Christopher Stuart Arthur of Mineral Bluff, GA; sister, Tommie Brewer of Brandon, MS; brother, David Arthur and wife Dawn of San Antonio, TX; four grandsons, Colby Robert Arthur of Kennesaw, GA, James Jones of Macon, GA, Nicklaus Grant Touchstone of Memphis, TN, and Griffin Jones of Greenwood, SC; granddaughter, Emma Jones of Greenwood, SC; and his Yorkie Mila. Jimmy was preceded in death by father, Billy Pete Arthur; mother, Hazel Anna Thompson Arthur; and brother, Billy Pete Arthur, Jr. A memorial service will be at 10:00a.m. at Grace Chapel Presbyterian Church in Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Grace Chapel Presbyterian Church or Webster Animal Shelter.
