Mary Lou "Noopie" Keegan, 87, of Canton, passed away on April 4, 2025, at her home in Canton, MS. Noopie was born on October 21, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana. A registered Nurse, she retired from St Dominic Hospital, where she worked for 53 years. She served in the US Army Guard and retired as a Full Bird Colonel. She loved her family and friends and was an animal lover. If asked, her favorite past time was riding horses. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Noopie is survived by a daughter, Kelly Williams and her husband Larry Williams of Canton, MS; son, Michael Greer and his wife Betsy Ellis Greer of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Greer Gunter, Maggie Gunter, and Joseph Williams, Ellis Greer, Lucy Greer, Anna Greer; and one great grandchild, Isabella Ann Corkern. She was preceded in death by husband, Hugh Keegan and her mother, Katie Richard. A graveside service will be at 10:30am at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery on April 9, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to Webster Animal Shelter.
