Betty Charlotte Bishop Savage, a lady of unwavering spirit and boundless love, passed away peacefully at her home in Madison, Mississippi on April 7, 2025. She was born in Barnwell, Alabama on November 29, 1932 to Julia Cottongim Bishop and James Angus Bishop, junior. A devoted mother to Cynthia Savage Pace ( Tim ), John Wilson Savage III ( Kim ) and Elizabeth Bishop Savage, Betty also found great joy in her six grandchildren. William Craig Eversole, junior, Kathleen Davis Savage, William Wilson Pace, Maime Eversole Welch, David Milton Pace and Lily Savage Sovich all were blessed to have been loved by their "Mamoo". Betty cherished the arrival and the life of each of her fourteen great grandchildren. Betty enjoyed sharing her time and talents with book clubs, garden clubs and in lifelong service to her Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her father, her sister, Effie Bishop Delchamps, and her husband, John Wilson Savage, junior. Betty will be missed by friends and family, including her beloved nieces, Linda Delchamps Bobbitt and Charlotte Delchamps Laughlin and their children.
The family wishes to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to Yolanda Beamon, a very special lady and a loving caregiver.
A memorial service will be held in Baldwin County, Alabama on a yet to be determined date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation of condolences be made to French Camp Academy, One Fine Place, French Camp, Mississippi 39745
