Billy "Steve" Roberts Terry, Mississippi Billy "Steve" Roberts, age 66, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 24, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1958, in Natchez, MS to Tommy Roberts and Jean Rushing. He was raised by stepfather, Clyde Rushing and his mother, Jean. Steve was known for his ever-present smile and genuine love for life. A hardworking and dependable man, Steve began his career at BellSouth as an operator in Natchez, eventually moving to Jackson, where he met his wife. He transitioned with the company in many roles through 44 years of work, completing his career as a Data Center Specialist. However, his greatest devotion was to his wife of 45 years and their three children, whose love and well-being were always his priority. Steve enjoyed quiet days at home, where he was happiest spending time with his beloved wife and his faithful dog, Sadie. Though he preferred the comforts of home, he also appreciated the time spent with his family during trips and vacations, creating cherished memories along the way. He adored his children and grandchildren, always proud of their accomplishments and happiest in their presence. Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Roberts; children, Holly Roberts of Hernando, MS; Jennifer Shappley of Tuscaloosa, AL; Steven Roberts of Terry, MS; grandchildren; Madison Lane of Foley, AL; Landon Roberts of Pearl, MS; Matthew and Luke Shappley of Tuscaloosa, AL. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Rushing; sister, Susie Maier of Flowood, MS; brother, Ross Rushing of Sarasota, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was close to Steve's heart.
