Obituary of Mallory Dungan Richard
Please share a memory of Mallory to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With broken hearts and profound sadness, we share the passing of Mallory Dungan Richard, a radiant soul who left this world far too soon at the age of 28. Mallory was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, and dear friend to many. She passed away on April 30, 2025, after a brief illness, surrounded by those who loved her the most.
Born and raised in Madison, MS, Mallory brought joy and kindness wherever she went. Her life was one marked by love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She graduated from Madison Central High School in 2015, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ole Miss in 2019. Mallory married her best friend, Dylan, in 2023, and together they created a life rooted in deep love and mutual support. Mallory’s proudest role was being a mother to her precious baby boy, Rowan. He was the light of her life.
Mallory is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Shirley Dungan. She is survived by her husband, Dylan Robert Richard; her son, Rowan Robert Richard; parents, Mark and Donna Dungan; brother, Justin (Casey) Gauthier; precious niece, Scarlett Gauthier; adoring nephew, Noah Gauthier; grandparents, Gerald and Peggy Gauthier; uncle, Ross Gauthier; cousin Kaleb Gauthier; aunt, Misti Gauthier and aunt Robin Kritser. She was loved like a daughter by her in-laws, Robert and Nicole Richard, along with countless friends.
We’d like to thank her team of doctors and staff at Baptist Medical Center, for loving her like their own and taking such compassionate care of her during this time.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating her life will be on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Vertical Church in Madison at 10:00 AM, with a private interment to follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery in Madison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the “Rowan Richard Education Fund” at any Cadence Bank location.
