Please share a memory of Marylin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marylin Belinda Townsend, lovingly known as “Lynn,” passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at age 65, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 7, 1960, in Cleveland, Mississippi, to Helman Norwood and Annie Mae Grimmett, Lynn brought warmth and kindness into the lives of all who knew her. Lynn spent most of her adult life in the Jackson Metro area, where she became a beloved and familiar face as a receptionist at Dr. Ralph Daniels’ dermatology clinic. Her welcoming spirit and genuine care for others made a lasting impression on both patients and colleagues alike. Outside of work, she generously dedicated her time and talents to supporting Mr. Charles Glover in several of his business ventures, always eager to lend a hand and go the extra mile. More than anything, Lynn was known for her giving heart and steadfast friendships. She was a constant source of support and encouragement to those around her, always ready to help in any way she could. As a devoted mother, Lynn worked tirelessly to provide for her children, pouring her love and energy into ensuring they were cared for and supported. In later years, one of her greatest joys came from her role as a grandmother. Lynn was the proud and loving “Mimi” to seven grandchildren, with whom she shared countless moments of joy, laughter, and love. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—shopping, beach trips, and spending quality time with her dear friends and family. Lynn's faith in Jesus was unwavering, and her strength and grace throughout her illness were a testament to her enduring spirit. Her sweet nature, inspiring resilience, and deep love for those around her will leave a lasting legacy. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others. Marylin is survived by Two Sons, Jonathan Allen (Karla) Johnson of Brandon, MS, Michael Johnson of Brandon, MS; Daughter, Marylin (Jay) Livingston of Madison, MS; Two Sisters, Martha (Reginald) Peacock, Elba (Tom) Mckee; Seven grandchildren, Mia, Macey, Makayla, Luke, Maddox, Brody, Julie; Three Nieces, Melissa, Christy, Denise; One Nephew, Patrick.
