Robert “Rob” Parsons, age 62, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Rob’s life was marked by strength and love, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cecilia Parsons; his proud and devoted sons, Joseph Alexander Parsons (29) and John Michael Parsons (27); his daughter-in-law, Alexsis Parsons (29); and his cherished grandchildren, John Alexander “Jax” Parsons (4) and Ava Michelle Parsons (2), who were the lights of his life.
Rob is also survived by his mother, Joan Parsons (92); his sister, Maribeth Brannan (67); his brother, Ted Parsons (65); and his twin brother, Greg Parsons (62). He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Edward Parsons, whose memory remained close to Rob’s heart.
To those who knew him, Rob was more than family—he was a dedicated friend, the kind of person who showed up without hesitation and loved without conditions. His kindness, loyalty, and steady presence made him a constant source of strength and comfort to those around him.
Rob found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cheering on Ole Miss football, deep sea fishing, playing dominos with friends, and working side by side with his son John. Whether casting a line in the ocean or sharing a laugh over a bowling game, Rob lived fully in the moments that mattered most.
His humility, integrity, and gentle nature made him someone you could count on—someone you were proud to know.
A service to honor Rob’s life will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church, located at 5971 Lakeland Dr, Flowood, MS 39232.
