Ann F. Sanders, age 81, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on June 22, 2025. Born on March 28, 1944, in Standing Pine, Mississippi, Ann was the daughter of Andrew Lafayette Freeny and Jessie Donald Freeny. She enjoyed a long and successful career in banking, retiring as Head Teller from Cadence Bank. Ann had a vibrant personality and a zest for life-she loved shopping, especially for shoes, and was always up for the thrill of a slot machine. A woman of faith, Ann was a devoted member of Old Rice Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Robbie Sanders (LeeAnn) of Madison; her grandchildren, Lee Sanders (Sloan) and Rachel Sanders; her sister, Karen Green (Phil); her sister-in-law, Gerilyn Freeny; brother-in-law, Jack Ware; niece, Jackie Ware; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert “Bobby” Sanders; her sister, Mary Lou Ware; and her brothers, Charles O’Neal and Tommy Jack. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Jessamine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ann’s name to Webster Animal Shelter.
