Obituary of Tammy Harvill Graves

Please share a memory of Tammy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tammy Harvill Graves, age 65, joined her beloved husband Robbie in heaven on July 19, 2025. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. She is now rejoicing with her Lord and savior Jesus. Tammy was born August 10, 1959 and raised by her parents Ed and Shirley Harvill in Jackson, MS. She married the love of her life Robbie Graves, and they were happily married for 37 years until he passed away in 2017. They had two children Jennifer and Emily. She loved her children and spending time with her family and friends. In her younger years Tammy was a candy striper, Genteel at Wingfield High School, and a Gayfer girl. She enjoyed shopping with her girls, yearly family beach trips, and hosting and cooking for family and friends. Her grandchildren gave her absolute joy, and she happily spoiled them. Tammy also cherished her weekend dinner dates and day trips with the Tuckers. Tammy worked for Allstate insurance before starting a long career at The National Guard Association of Mississippi where she was an insurance coordinator. She enjoyed her work and the friendships she made along the way. Tammy was a long time member of Alta Woods Baptist church growing up, and later joined Oak Forest Baptist where she formed many long lasting relationships. She later attended Crossgates Baptist Church. One of her greatest accomplishments was helping convert her husband from Catholic to Southern Baptist. Her faith in God was truly amazing, and she was a witness to everyone she encountered. She endured a scary diagnosis of pancreatic cancer last year and had many hard surgeries including a whipple. She overcame the cancer and was cancer free! Tammy is survived by her children Jennifer (Anthony) Wilkerson, and Emily (Blake) McGuffee; sister Lisa Tucker (Lee Burke) and brother Brad (Heather) Harvill; grandchildren Addison Peusch, Kaitlin Wilkerson, Jaden Wilkerson, Caleb McGuffee and Ava Rose McGuffee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robbie Graves; her parents, Ed and Shirley Harvill; her granddaughter, Sophia Love McGuffee; and her niece Jessica Graves. Her family would like to recognize Dr. Murphy Martin and associates, Dr. Tammy Young, and the staff at Baptist hospital for the care they provided. They would also like to show extreme gratitude to Dr. Andrew Mallette and partners for their hard work and compassionate loving care. A special thank you to her best friends over 50 plus years for all the love and support during her illness. They are truly her family and so loved.
