Nancy Milner, age 84, passed away on August 16, 2025, in Byram, Mississippi. She was born on November 8, 1940, to James Chester Sawyer and Cleo V. Sawyer in Morton, Mississippi. Nancy graduated from Forest High School then attended cosmetology school. She married Marvin Milner, Buddy, on August 11, 1960, and remained happily married until his death in 2006. Nancy was a graceful woman, an amazing wife, a selfless mother of two, and a devoted grandmother of 3. She served God diligently at Ridgeland Baptist Church through her Sunday school group and Vacation Bible School. She was a hairdresser at Willard F. Bond Home throughout the late seventies, eighties, and nineties. Marvin built her a beauty shop in their home, where she blessed her clients with engaging conversation along with beautiful makeovers every week until dementia led to her retirement. She was a strong, loving, and active woman, who gave her all for her family. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Allen Milner; Parents, James Chester Sawyer and Cleo V. Sawyer; Sisters, Mary V. Walker, Fredna Jean Hood, Gloria Francis Schlecht, Wanda Doreen Howell. Nancy is survived by Daughter, Donna (Rodger) Matthews of Ridgeland, MS; Son, Marvin Allen (Sherry) Milner of Ridgeland, MS; Sister, Betty Jane (Ralph) Sirois of San Antonio, TX; Three grandchildren, Carol Ann (Aaron) Woodard, Christen Marie Ricotta, William Thomas Milner; Two great grandchildren, Madeline Ann Woodard, Weston James Woodard. Visitation will be Tuesday August 19, 2025, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service celebrating her life will be at Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am with the interment to follow in Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Son Valley Day Care Center for Special Needs adults, where her grandchildren, Christen and William, attend.
