Don R. Taylor, Sr., age 72, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. Born in Magee, Mississippi on February 23, 1953, Don built a life defined by hard work, strong values, and deep devotion to his family. He was the proud owner of Personnel Plus and the Taylor Agency, where his leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on countless individuals and businesses. Don had a true zest for life. A lifelong fan of Ole Miss Football, he was a loyal season ticket holder and cherished the camaraderie that came with every game. He also had a passion for cars—especially his Corvette—and loved spending time on the water as an avid boater. The beach was one of his favorite places, where he found peace and joy. But above all, Don loved his family fiercely and unconditionally. He is survived by his children, Russ Taylor, Nicholas Taylor, Christian Taylor, and Katie Taylor; his beloved granddaughter, Hartly Taylor; and his sisters, Becky Griffin and Brenda Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Taylor and Margaret Thornton Taylor, and his sister, Barbara Keifer. Don will be remembered for his warmth, humor, strength, and the love he poured into everything he did. His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Webster Animal Shelter in Madison, a cause close to Don’s heart. Visitation is Wednesday September 10, 2025, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 10:00am until the 11:00 am chapel service. Interment will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park.
