Vivian Baldwin Gullick
Swansboro, North Carolina
Vivian Baldwin Gullick, age 63, passed away on October 18, 2025, in Swansboro, North Carolina, and was welcomed into the arms of her Savior. She was born on March 20, 1962, in Arkansas, to Monroe and Martha Ann Hastings Baldwin.
Vivian was known for her quick wit, radiant smile, and the way she made everyone feel loved and at ease. Her joyful spirit and sense of humor could light up any room, and her faith in God remained strong and steadfast. She had a heart that gave freely, loved deeply, and cared unconditionally, especially for her daughter, son-in-law, and her three beloved “pastries” (grandchildren), who were the light of her life.
Vivian and her daughter, Sarah, shared a bond that was truly special. Though miles apart, they spoke every day, laughing, sharing stories, and lifting one another up through love. To Sarah, she wasn’t just “Mama”; she was her friend, her cheerleader, and her comfort.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sarah (Hunter) Pugh of Madison, Mississippi; two sisters, Martha (Bill) Palmer and Connie (Jerry) Scarborough, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; three brothers, Monroe Baldwin Jr. of Virginia, James (Judy Samuelson) Conner of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Frank (Millie) Conner of Harrison, Arkansas; her treasured grandchildren, Elli Jo, Evie James, and Edalen June Pugh; nephews Jeremy (Jordan) Palmer and Drew (Cherrie) Palmer; niece Michelle (Jeff) Price; along with numerous other nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Martha Baldwin; her sister, Katherine Jarrett; and her beloved partner, Norman Smith.
A graveside service celebrating Vivian’s life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery in Madison, Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 127 Church Rd, Madison, MS 39110.
Though Vivian’s earthly journey has come to an end, her light continues to shine in the hearts of all who loved her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, surrounded by eternal love, and reunited with those who went before her. Her laughter, love, and the bond she shared with her daughter and all of those she loved will forever be a reflection of the beautiful life she lived.
