James Oliver Dennis, age 73, passed away on November 21, 2025. He was born on March 25, 1952, to James and Alexander Dennis in Jackson, Mississippi. Jimmy grew up in south Jackson and graduated from Wingfield High School and Mississippi College. He was actively involved in many sports, music, and the church. Jimmy never missed a chance to tell a joke or make someone laugh. He loved people, which allowed him to thrive in the business world during his career. He never met a stranger and always made everyone feel special. The two most important things to Jimmy were his faith and family. Jimmy loved his kids and grandkids and the love of his life, Bonita, with every ounce of his being. Jimmy’s love for the Lord is why we find peace in today, knowing that he is healed and living in the streets of Heaven. James is survived by his loving wife, Bonita Elizabeth Dennis; Two Daughters, Katie (Erin) Boyd, Molly (Grant) Diffee; Two Sons, Chris (Leighann) Dennis, Michael Eden Mullett (Emily); Two Sisters, DeDe Thompson, Janice Mason; Brother, Jerry Dennis; Six grandchildren, Lilly Dennis, Finley Boyd, Sutton Boyd, Grace Diffee, Kai Mullett, Hannah Diffee. Visitation will be on Tuesday November 25, 2025, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 10:00 am until 11:00 AM. A funeral service celebrating his life will be at 11:00 AM in the Chapel with the interment to follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
