Obituary of Leeron Green

Please share a memory of Leeron to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leeron Green, 61, of Madison, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2026. He was surrounded by his family, following a courageous 25-day battle in the Cardiovascular Recovery Unit after complications related to cardiac bypass surgery. Leeron was born on November 21, 1964, in Lovington, New Mexico, to Dr. D.W. Green and Ora Green. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. D.W. Green; his mother, Ora Green; his sister, Hope Dodson; his niece, Amanda Wheat; his nephews, Adam Street and Jacob Dodson; his brother-in-law, Roby Ford; and many dear friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Melody Ford Green; his children, Jessica Miley (Brent) and Jack Green (Macey); his grandchildren, Reed Miley, Charlotte Green, Ben Miley, Olivia Green, and Emily Green; his sisters, Sharon Armstrong (David) and Patsy Kinard (Leslie); father and mother-in-law, (Jessie and Johnnie Ford); sister-in-law, Marla Gibson (Wendell); brother-in-law, Kiley Ford (Melanie); and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. Leeron graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He later built a successful career as a software engineer, a profession he had worked in since 1997. Leeron was deeply devoted to his family and friends. He will be remembered as a passionate and gifted musician who played both the guitar and piano by ear. He also found great joy in woodworking and gardening. One of his proudest accomplishments, something he had always dreamed of, was building his own guitar, a project that beautifully combined his love of music and craftsmanship. He completed it just one month before his surgery. A musician at heart, Leeron expressed his life, love, and faith through songwriting and a lifelong devotion to music, especially the guitar. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Leeron’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
