Linda Faye McCraw, age 81, of Canton, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.
Linda was born on February 13, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Milton Leroy Hutchins and Annie Josie Pittman (née Smith), and by their children Milton Leroy Hutchins, Louis Earl Hutchins, Annie Marie Hutchins, and Joseph Henry Hutchins.
She is survived by their children George Ralph Hutchins and Margaret Jean Hutchins; her daughters Debra Edwards, Stephanie Belk, and Joanna Middleton; and her cherished grandchildren Timothy Swanner, Chris Swanner, Ian Hilton, John Colby Belk, and Maddox Middleton.
Linda was a kind and loving daughter, sister, and a devoted mother and grandmother. A proud homemaker, she poured her heart into caring for her family and creating a home filled with warmth, love, and laughter. She was known by all who met her for her gentle spirit, her welcoming smile, and her ability to always offer a kind word or sincere compliment. Linda loved to dance and had a deep affection for animals, which reflected her joyful and compassionate nature.
She was truly loved by everyone she met and will be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of those around her.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery in Madison, Mississippi.
Linda’s love and kindness will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
