(October 21, 1947 - February 23, 2026) Jimmy Glynn Albritton, age 78, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at his home in Madison, Mississippi. Jim was born on October 21, 1947, in McComb, Mississippi, to Jonas Waller Albritton and Georgie Lynn Burris Albritton. Jim was the owner and operator of Northeast Tree Service, LLC and was known for being a hard worker and took pride in working hard for the people he loved. He earned his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and later completed his master’s degree at the University of Mississippi. A loyal Bulldog fan, Jim especially loved Mississippi State athletics. In his free time, he enjoyed sports, with golf being a particular favorite. Jim was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Madison, where his faith remained an important part of his life. He had a special love for animals, especially his dog, Chico. He is preceded in his passing by his parents, Jonas Waller Albritton and Georgie Lynn Burris Albritton. Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Debora Lynn Albritton of Madison, MS; his son, James Alan Albritton of Columbus, Mississippi; and brother, Barney Joe Albritton of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. Jim leaves behind a legacy of dedication, loyalty, and love that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
