Robert L. Johnson 68, of Ridgeland, MS was called home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2018. A private Celebration of Life service was held.

Robert was born November 10, 1949 in Biloxi, MS to the late Ben & Arlene Johnson. Years later his family moved to Jackson where Robert attended and graduated from Murrah High School in Jackson, MS.  Robert went on to Hinds Community College and Mississippi State University.  At Mississippi State he met the love of his life, Debbie Buck.  Robert went on from school to join the United States Marine Corps. where he served until he was honorably discharged.  After serving his country he began doing contracting work with his Dad and later started his own business Johnson Construction & Company and was successful for many years.  Robert was a good man who helped anyone ever in need.  Most of all he loved the Lord, his family, and adored his wife, Debbie.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Ben and Arlene Johnson, one sister, Vickie Johnson Gates, brother-in law, William Gates, father-in-law, Dr. W. H. Buck, Sr., and brother-in-law, Gregory Edward Buck.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Debbie Buck Johnson of Ridgeland, MS., mother-in-law, Bobbye F. Buck, sister-in-law Becky Buck Arnold, brothers-in-law, Dr. W. H. Buck, Jr, Robert F. Buck and James R. Buck.  He is also survived by niece, Jennifer Boone, nephews, Stuart Gates and Zack Gates as well as nieces Ashley Buck, Marcie Patton, Beatrice Buck, and nephews Robby Buck, Edward Buck, Will Buck, Matthew Buck, and Andrew Buck.
