Kathy Rector passed away peacefully on December 9, 2020 with members of her family nearby. She is resting comfortably in the arms of the Goddess now. Kathy was born in Norfolk, VA on September 6, 1958. She was in the Long Beach High School Class of 1976 and was graduated from the Mississippi University for Women in 1980. Her BS degree was in Radio and Communications. She worked in that field for many years at Mississippi ETV in Jackson but her passion was the care and protection of animals of all kinds. She was a docent at the Jackson Zoo for over 25 years. Kathy also had good friends in her Bunco, Scrabble and Wicca circles in Madison. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Charlie B Rector, and is survived by her mother Louise Rector, brother Charles Rector and familiar Caleb. Kathy will be sorely missed by her family and friends Marty, Jo, Morgan, Cody, and Greg among others. She was a kind and thoughtful soul.
