Graveside services for Brenda Joy Norton Burton, 71 years old, of Madison, MS will be 11:00am Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery in Madison, MS. She died Saturday December 19, 2020 at Merit Health Hospital in Flowood, MS. Brenda was born April 30, 1949 in Drew, MS to Clyde and Fannie Mae Norton. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois where she attended school. She moved to Greenville, MS with her family as a young adult. She met Edward Burton and they married December 7, 1965. She was a resident of Vicksburg, MS from 1975 until moving to Madison, MS in 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Fannie Mae Norton, 5 brothers, C.J. Norton, Joe Paul Norton, John Ellis Norton, John L. Norton and Jackie Norton, 3 sisters, Mary Johnston, Peggy Howell and Violet Oswalt. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward Burton of Madison, MS, her son, John Edward Burton and his wife Shelly of Long Beach, MS, 2 daughters, Susie Norman and her husband Jason of Madison, MS and Jerri Avery of Madison, MS , 2 sisters, Frances Conley of Paris, TN and Gail Clolinger of Byram, MS, 8 grandchildren, Addison Burton, Olive Burton, Kori Marascalco, Samantha Joy Murtagh, Zoie Norman, Morgan Avery, Josh Speyerer and Jackson Speyerer, 3 great grandchildren, Sawyer Marascalco, Kase Murtagh and Hazie Kate Murtagh, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
