Deborah (Debbie) Louise Webb Lay was born on November 26, 1951 and went to be with Jesus on January 17, 2021. She was born and raised in Clinton, MS and graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. She worked for and retired from both Bell South and UMMC. She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, James (Jimmy) Lay and 2 sons, Robby of Raymond, MS and Dr. Justin Lay of Madison, MS. Robby is married to Tiffany Lay and has 3 children, Taylor, Gracie and Audrey Claire. Dr. Justin Lay is married to Tara, and also has 3 children, Addison, Anderson and Caroline. Debbie also leaves behind 2 brothers, Greg and Mike Webb as well as 8 sisters in law; Tina Clark, Patti Clark, Lisa King, Kanani Pardue, Donnie Lay, Pattie Lay, Ginger Webb and Beth Webb. “Mamaw” enjoyed spending time with her family and could often be found at one of the many events of her grandchildren or spending time with her lifelong best friend Karen Wilson. She is preceded in passing by her parents, Troy and Virginia Webb. Visitation will be at 11:30am-12:30pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home, 759 Hwy 51, Madison, MS 39110. A graveside service will follow in the cemetery. Due to COVID-19 regulations, we ask for those attending to please respect and use proper social distancing procedures for the family. In Lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made to the Batson Children's Hospital.
