Marie was the closest person to a sister I ever had. I could trust her, talk to her, listen to her, reminisce with her, dream with her, cry with her and laugh with her. She had a kind heart and soul filled with love and concern always. I can't even tell you how much I miss her daily. It brings tears to my eyes every time I think of her and know that I can't just pick up the phone to talk to her anymore. I saved her voicemails so I could keep her voice. The sweetness in that voice is so genuine and loving. Besides, my mother, no one understood me the way Marie did. We "got" each other. My soul sistah!
We grew up together, went to High School together, were friends, band mates, and cousins. I still considered her my cousin even though there was no blood connection. She was the best! She taught me how to make sausage gravy and I still do make it that way.
In some lifetimes, good people get dealt a not so good life (but, yes, some of it was good. She loved Bain to the ends of the Earth and he was very good to her, and, of course her daughter.)
I think of you very often, miss you so much and love you. I'll see ya when I see ya, Cuz! xoxoxoxoxo
