Doris Ann will be greatly missed by many. She’ll always hold a very special place in my heart!! She was like a second mom to me in many, many ways! I’ll miss being able to call her and talk about things! She had a heart bigger than Texas and was ALWAYS there for me in many hard times. She never ever failed to lend a helping hand and most of those times, didn’t even have to be asked! I love you Nana and will miss you dearly!!! Maria, Scott and Joel y’all were truly blessed to have such a wonderful, loving and beautiful lady to call “Mom”! May God be with you all through this very difficult time in your lives

I grasp deep within my heart to search for words that will bring comfort to your souls at this time. Although I am so very sorry it... seems so shallow...mere words uttered in respect. But sincerely in my heart I know the pain. The feeling of emptiness as the world around you continues to carry on while you silently crumble inside. Desperate emotions grow within as you struggle for words to magnify this precious woman you called mother. We become secure in life when we know she is with us. Moms always seem to have the right answer. The undying love and devotion that guards and cradles us thru our days. Comfort from the pain of her accenting will not begin today or tomorrow. It won’t come next week I am sorry to say. When the Lord lifted her from this world she was renewed into a new eternal life. She no longer struggles or feels pain but rejoices with angels and family from our faded memories. Scotty, Joel, and Maria you were blessed with a treasure more valued than gold. Your mother was a precious lady. Her heart was warm and kind. I pray for the Lord to comfort and guide each of you and others who loved her in the days to come. May the prayers of family and friends help lift you from your sorrow.
