Obituary of Brian Michael Shows

Brian Michael Shows, 52, of Brandon, passed away on August 29, 2021 at his home after a three year battle with cancer.     He was born on July 23, 1969 to James and Betty Brewer Shows in Jackson, MS. A resident of Brandon, Brian was employed with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality for 28 years.    Brian was a graduate of New Hope High School and Mississippi State University. He is remembered as a loyal and loving friend, a dedicated husband, and a wonderful uncle, brother, and son. A certified open water diver, he also enjoyed Japanese anime, gaming, and watching his Mississippi State Bulldogs play. He was elated to watch them win their first national championship this year.  Brian is survived by his wife of 11 years, Nichole Younger Shows; father, James Larry Shows (Angie); sisters, Audra Rester (Eddie), Jamie Heath and Jinny Shows; and a loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who are family.     He was preceded in death by mother, Betty Ruth Brewer Shows.   Visitation will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021, 1:00 pm - 2:00 P.M. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.   In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to: American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
