David Nelson Buck Jr of Madison, Ms. passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday 8/20/23. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Memphis, Tn on 5/28/34. His parents were David Buck and Anna Sampson Buck. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Jo Buck of 60 years. He is survived by his children Karen Mullins, (Chuck) of Scottsdale, Az, David Buck III, (Gigi) of Destin, Fl. and Ted Buck (Tammitha) of Madison, Ms., his brother Jimmy Buck of Onalaska, Tx., 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandkids, and 1 great great grandchild, and his beloved sweetheart Catherine Pope of Madison, Ms. After finishing high school he joined the Marines where he served his country. After graduating Memphis State University he moved to Jackson, Ms. where he spend his career in sales and business. David enjoyed multiple hobbies including golf, photography, birding, and traveling. He was a member of St. Mathew's Methodist Church where he could be seen at Sunday services wearing his bright colored sport coats. He loved God, his family, and his country. He was very proud of his service in the Marines. He was a great man and father. He loved time with his family and will be missed.
