Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Peterson

Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cheryl Lynn Peterson, the beloved wife and soulmate of Charley Hall, passed away on September 1, 2023, at her home after a courageous fight with dementia. She was 74 years. Cheryl is survived by her husband Charley Hall, who loved her dearly. Other survivors include Joie and Cecil Stewart, Kenneth and Sandra Hall, Brian Hall, and Stephanie Hall. Cheryl put all her heart into being a very good photo artist. She was very good at both photography and poetry. Her greatest photographic accomplishments were pictures of any landscape in the Smokey Mountains. Her favorite landscape location was Cades’s Cove. In fact, she had such a gentle spirit that the bears and white tail bucks would accept her as if they knew her and pose for a photo. She would always arrive early in the morning and would an entire day. She also had a wealth of travels and behaviors of all the critters in the Smokies. The Friends of the Smokies have recently viewed her work on You Tube and are now using her photography as a fund raiser to preserve the Great Smoky Mountains. Cheryl also has other works on You Tube entitled “Seeing the Smokies Through Cheryl’s Eyes” and “Texas Wildflowers”. These works can be viewed under Charles and Cheryl Hall. She also has 8 DVD’s that show her God given skills and talents. Services for Cheryl will take place Wednesday September 13, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 1:30 P.M and will last until the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Covenant Presbyterian Church music department.
