Obituary of Milton Martin Scarborough

Please share a memory of Milton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Milton Martin Scarborough, 64, of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi passed away on September 12, 2023 at his home after a long-fought battle with cancer. A native of Yazoo County, Mississippi, Martin was born on May 5, 1959 to JoAnne Martin Scarborough and Milton Scarborough. He loved the outdoors, all sorts of machinery, hunting, and visiting with friends and family. One of his great loves was Mississippi State University. He wore the t-shirts and hats, watched the games on television when he could not go in person, and rang his cowbell loud and proud. He was too sick to watch the games and keep up with the team this season, but we will watch and ring MSU cowbells in his memory! We are cautiously optimistic that he would have been excited by the way this season has started. Martin is survived by his love, Barbara Henderson; daughter, Amanda DeAnne Munn; Mother and Stepfather, JoAnn Martin Butler and John Butler; grandchildren Jadon Keith Hughes and Mary Martin Hughes; great-grandchildren, Charli Jade Hughes and Elijah Wayne Brewer and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom will miss him. Martin was preceded in death by his father Milton Scarborough and his son, Charles Allen Scarborough. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on September 16, 2023 at Hebron Baptist Church, Bentonia, Mississippi followed by the graveside service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Blair E. Batson Children’s hospital. If you have an MSU cowbell, bring it to ring in memory of Martin at the close of the graveside service.
