Becky Davis Harmon of Madison, MS passed away September 19, 2023. She was born in Bessemer, AL to John L and Margaret Blake Davis who predeceased her. Becky graduated from Hueytown High School in 1967. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of AL, Birmingham (1971) and a Master of Science in Cardiovascular Nursing from the UAB School of Nursing in 1973. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau and The National Honor Society for Nursing. She was also a Fellow of the J&J-Wharton Fellow Program in Management for Nurse executives (1994). During her career, she was an ICU staff nurse, Cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Specialist, Director of Cardiovascular Services, and Nurse Executive/ VP of Patient Care Services. Becky was preceded in death by her brothers John Davis, Jr and Steve Davis, her sister Doris Davis Pearson, and her brother-in-law Comer Justice. She is survived her beloved daughter Emily Harmon Tucker (Bo), her grandchildren ("The Trio") Jack, Bryce and Grace Tucker; her sister Kay Davis Justice, her sisters-in-law Susan Saunders Davis and Yondle Climer Davis, and her brother-in-law Jerry Pearson, as well as many nieces and nephews. In the first year of her cancer diagnosis a good friend sent her the following quote (which became a favorite and an inspiration): "She is clothe with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future, Proverbs 31:25". Becky asked that her friends/family take a moment and remember a time of shared laughter with her. In accordance with her wishes, Becky will be cremated and no public service will be held. Any token of remembrance may be made to the American Cancer Society.
