To the family of Mr. Mike Harris
My family and I live in the Jackson community and were saddened by your family’s loss.
Once you lose a loved one in death, life is never the same. However, the Bible gives us hope that soon our old enemy,” death will be swallowed up forever”( Isaiah 25:8). God’s Word also gives assurance that soon God will bring our dead loved ones back to life. Isn’t that a comforting thought?
It is my family’s hope that the following scriptures will also bring you comfort.
Revelation 21:1-4
John 3:16
2 Corinthians 1:3,4
John 5:28,29
Acts 24:15
Luke 7:11-17
Luke 8:40-56
Sincerely,
Cedric Livingston

"But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Cheryl, you and your loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. I am sorry I am unable to attend the memorial service for that sweet Mike, but I am with you in spirit. Mike had such a dynamic energy and smile. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to visit with him before his illness. I know the angels were singing when he arrived at heaven's gates. Much love, Lee

I’m so very grateful for the beautiful memories of watching Mke play football, baseball and walking the Provine hallways with Cheryl, hand in hand. Every one of us so wished to “find the one our heart desired” in high school, but only a few were so fortunate. Chers, you and your Mike were the couple whose love was evident when you gazed into each other’s eyes. And the quick little sweet kiss assured your love for one another as he walked you to class! My sincere condolences go out to my dearest Chers and her and Mike’s beloved family during this most sacred time of Mike’s passing. May you be comforted now and in the days to come by the love and caring extended to you from the countless family and friends surrounding you all. I extend my most sincere condolences on the loss of your precious Mike. May God bless you all, always.
May Peace Be With You,
Barbara Sheffield Smith

ALL of us at Deerfield pulled hard for Mike, wanted so much for our dear friend to come back to us,to see again that ever present twinkle in his eyes. He was so much fun to be around. He could tell a good story but would never say anything bad about another person. Mike never complained or made excuses though we knew his knees hurt and often his hands as well. Such a humble and class guy.I've missed him since he got sick but I wont ever forget him. God bless his soul.
