I knew him well at UMC and years after, never as well as I would wish. He was kind, erudite, mischievous and a truly tall tree in the forest of our teachers and colleagues during a dynamic time in our Medical School, and a remarkably productive period in the Internal Medicine Division. A treasure.

I will always remember Dr. Jackson as such a pleasant gentleman. He would take a chair beside my desk at work and chat with me as if I was someone important in that office. I always enjoyed his interesting conversations as did all who knew him. You have our sincere condolences.
