Our dedicated and supportive staff are here to guide you through this difficult journey. We take pride in doing our absolute best to ensure your needs are met. Larry & Shay Chedotal moved to Mississippi in August, 1993, to manage Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery, the business their family purchased in 1973. We opened the Funeral Home in 2003 and added a Crematory on the property in 2007. In January, 2018, a community mausoleum was opened with Phase II to be built in a few years.
Larry & Shay have been married for 35 years and have two children; Brittany and Ryan and two grandchildren. They are members of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Madison. You can take pride in knowing that your family member will be taken care of like our own. One consistent phrase is that we do not take care of customers or clients but families. We each have our personal families, then our work family and as you commit to entrust us to handle your loved one or your services, you will become part of our Natchez Trace families.

Lily - Mgr in Training
Emotional Support Greif Therapy Dog
Lily has joined our staff as a Licensed Emotional Support Animal. She is/was the pet of Shay & Larry Chedotal. Lily had lost her mother (Isabelle) and brother (Charbon the cat) within a few short months of each other. She reacted just as most humans would. Shay started bringing her to work in order to make sure she ate and drank. As families would come into the funeral home, she would walk right up to them and she would seem to know exactly who needed her more. We feel Lily needed our Natchez Trace families just as much as they needed her. We had Lily tested to become an Emotional Support Animal and she aced it. Since then, she has attended many events and was chosen as a K-9 Honorary Ambassador to the City of Madison. She has become a very special part of our community, the Natchez Trace staff along with the families that we serve.
