Obituary of Claude Shelby "Skip" Cain

Claude Shelby Cain, of Ridgeland, MS, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 8, 2024. "Skip", as he was known to family and friends, was born In Monticello, MS on February 2, 1937 to Claude and Margaret Fairman Cain.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gerry Bell Cain; his daughter Carrie Cain McMahon (John) of Birmingham, AL; three grandchildren, Shelby McMahon Hunter (John) of Chattanooga, TN, John James McMahon IV of Atlanta, GA, Andrew Crawford McMahon of Birmingham, AL; a sister, Mary Claire Cain Norsworthy (Ralph) of Birmingham, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two younger brothers, Charles Fairman Cain and Eugene Price Cain.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 10 at 11 am at Grace Chapel Presbyterian Church, 307 New Mannsdale Road, Madison, MS. Visitation will be at 10 am in the church's fellowship hall.
