Peggy L Maddox, 87, went home to be with the Lord, March 2, 2024. Visitation will be Tuesday March 5, 2024, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home from 11:00am until 1:00pm with a celebration of life ceremony at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born on October 15, 1936, to John and Verna LaPrade in Pontotoc MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dan Maddox of almost 52 years, her brothers Doug and Wayne LaPrade and her sisters Eva Littlejohn and Frances Barlow, and grandson Michael Fleming. She is survived by her son, Ken Maddox (Ann), daughter, Rene Virden (Robert), son, Jeff Maddox (Marion) and daughter, Lynda Ballard Maddox. Grandchildren Jennifer Crissey (Chris), Nicole Givens, Sam Maddox (Elizabeth), Caity Maddox, Tara Ballard (Aaron), Paul Maddox and Mitchell Fleming (Bella), Ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers send donations to Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Service, 930 Madison Ave. Ste. 101, Memphis, TN 38103 www.mid-southlions.org. Mrs. Maddox was a loyal New York Yankees fan and to honor her, the family ask that you wear your favorite sport themed apparel.
