I've had the pleasure and honor of working with Matt for a few years now. His was always willing to share his specialized knowledge when we needed him and he was among the first to volunteer to travel and work long hours to restore service to the community during the Hurricane Ian recovery. He was truly an honorable, stand up guy. RIP Matthew, you will be dearly missed.

My Best Friend

Matthew was a wonderful person. Never saw him when he wasn’t smiling. Even when he was overwhelmed with work. He always talked about his love for his family, never failed to ask about mine. I worked with him at CVS up until 2011.

What I will miss most about my Little Brother is his Smile and His Hugs. He had a Hug that could break your Back, and a Smile that could make you forget whatever was bugging you.
Matthew is a Man i will always strive to be more like. He always put other needs in front of his own, willing, wanting to Fix you car, your home, and your relationship. Never scared to say what needed to be said, but careful in its saying.
I will miss our fishing trips, never did we do that enough. Just Sitting there talking, Laughing and making way to much noise to actually catch anything. I will miss just hanging out with him. even now I close my eyes and I can see him with a Big Grin on his Face, and it comforts me.
I hope to be more like this Man who I loved and admired. My Little Brother.

My dad was always so loving, and always found ways to spend time with us. He helped to teach us all how to ride a bike, to tie our shoes, and so many other things. He touched the lives of many — family and friends. I always looked up to him. Things will never be the same without him.

I remember Matt as the hardest working tech in our zone. He would help you out no matter what he had going on in his life. He was a guy who love to fish, he would always call me and talk about fishing. He will be missed and those are some shoes that could never be filled.

Matt was an amazing employee. He always demonstrated an incredible work ethic. He always was a can do type of guy. I relied on Matts photo expertise daily. He was one of our best, helping without reservation, hurricane recovery efforts in Florida. Matt was always there to support FTS leadership and his co-workers regardless of the time of day or where in the county. RIP Matt. We will miss you!
