LJ was a legacy in hunter education in North America and continued that passion after he retired, along with his colleague, John Louk, with the Tree Stand Manufacturer's Association. LJ and John trained our hunter education instructors many times, the most recent at our last Instructor's Conference in Brownwood Texas, where they were recognized for their many years of training and saving lives. LJ was a good friend, and I was fortunate to have him mentor me on the board of the International Hunter Education Association. Rest in Peace my friend!
