Obituary of Krestina Suzanne Banck

Please share a memory of Krestina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Krestina “Kresty” Suzanne Banck departed this earth for her heavenly home on May 20, 2024 surrounded by her adoring fiancé, precious children, dear friends and treasured family. Kresty was a bright light in the world. She was a woman of faith, and passionately loved caring for people. She was grateful for her family and many deep friendships. Kresty dearly loved her children, Isabella “Ella” Nena Banck (age 17) and William “Holt” Holt Banck (age 12). Kresty was Ella’s constant and fierce cheerleader both on Ella’s soccer field and off. Kresty cherished her dear son, Holt, who she often called the “Governor” for his great hair and contagious smile. Holt constantly kept Kresty entertained with his quick wit, boundless energy and great hugs. A testament to her delight in being their mother is the countless adorable quotes and conversations Kresty memorialized and would frequently reference to reminisce about the cute things her children said or did. Kresty loved her children and loved being a mother. Kresty adored her fiancé, Catrina “Trina” Wilson. Trina came into Kresty’s life just a year and one-half before Kresty’s terrible diagnosis. Their love was an amazing thing to witness. Kresty and Trina squeezed a lifetime of fun, love, and memories into a short time. Kresty’s love for Trina was so abundant, so hopeful, and so wholehearted. Their love was also very evident in Trina’s dedication and tender care of Kresty as she walked with Kresty through her courageous and terrible battle with cancer. It was also evident in how Kresty was comforted by Trina, who we referred to as Kresty’s comfort animal. Even in her sickness, Kresty was so very grateful to have found Trina, her BIG love. Kresty was born on July 20, 1970, in Metairie, Louisiana, and while she never forgot her Louisiana roots, she called Mississippi home for her entire adult life. Kresty graduated from Belhaven University with a degree in biology and a minor in psychology, which she used often throughout her life. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mississippi College, and later in her career, and while raising her children, Kresty returned to school to earn an advanced degree as a Nurse Practitioner. Kresty’s calling was helping people and from an early age, she loved babies. Kresty spent her early nursing career in neonatal intensive care units. Then once her children were born, she found her true calling in women’s health. She was overjoyed to work with her dear friend, Kim Bartels, who operates an all-woman-provider practice, Bloom Health Services for Women. Bloom was Kresty’s happy place. We are so grateful to Kim for her love and support of Kresty. Kresty, through her amazing medical career, helped so many women have babies and handle women’s health issues. Kresty is proceeded in death by her father, Robert Allen Banck,II, grandparents, Charles Thomas Althans, Shirley Althans, Robert Allen Banck, and Emma Isabel Roberts. She is survived by her adoring fiancé, Catrina Wilson; her daughter, Isabella Nena Banck; her son, William Holt Banck; her mother, Suzanne Althans Banck; her siblings, Elke Karin Carter, Robin Banck Taylor; Christian Emmanuel Banck and his wife, Dokyung Banck, Sarah Abbott Leonard and her husband, Nathaniel Thomas Leonard, Andrew Michael Banck and his wife, Elaine Banck; her chosen sister, Christine Unsworth Kimes and her husband, David Kimes; her nieces and nephews, Steven Allen Carter and his wife, Jessi Carter; Hunter Nicholas Carter and his wife, Chelsea Dulin, Zachary Allen Taylor, Jack Thomas Taylor, Annabelle Lee Taylor, Robert Daniel Perkins, Adaline Mae Perkins, Coralee Abbott Perkins, Henry Lee Gonzales, Chloe Lee Gonzales. She is also survived by her close devoted friends, Holly Hutcheson, Kathy Clem, Kim Bartels, Allison and Trey Cox, Sharon Powell, Amanda Lucille “Lucy” Leatherwood, and countless others. One thing Kresty loved was a party. We are having a short memorial followed by a big party to celebrate Kresty and a life so well lived.
