Mary Frances "Fancy" Winstead, age 64, of Flowood, MS passed on June 6, 2024, at River Oaks Hospital. Born February 12, 1960, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mary Frances was the daughter of the late Henry and Emma Grey Salonus. The youngest of three children, she graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School and attended Hinds Junior College. in 1982 she met Phillip Winstead and they wed in 1989. She began her career in banking immediately after and enjoyed more than 30 years of employment. She loved her family dearly and being a mom and grandmother was her biggest joy. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Phillip Winstead; daughter, Brandi Guyton and her husband Sam; grandchildren, Jennings, Marley, and Bishop Guyton; sister, Barbara Figueredo and her husband Herbie; brother, Edward Salonus and his wife Robin; sister-in-law, Jean Brown; brothers-in-law, Ross and Jack Winstead; and best friend and cousin Jannie Day, as well as many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday June 11, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church from 10:00am until 11:00am with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00am. Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Brandon, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital of Mississippi.
