Obituary of Tamara Jo McLaughlin

Please share a memory of Tamara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Tamara (Tammy) Jo McLaughlin, who died peacefully at home on June 29, 2024, at the age of 66 after a year-long battle with cancer. Born to Richard P. and Marilyn A. Massengill (Roland) on October 27, 1957, Tammy grew up in Plymouth, Michigan and pursued a career in patent and trademark administration before retiring several years ago. She met the love of her life Timothy in Plymouth, and they were married for 35 years. Tammy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, and her kindness and love touched everyone who knew her. She had a warm smile and a gentle spirit that radiated love and compassion. Tammy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed hosting family gatherings. Her kindness, compassion, and genuine friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Tammy is survived by her husband, Tim, her children Megan Roberts (Kevin), Taryn Parker (Samuel), her grandchildren Georgia Roberts, Margot Roberts, and her siblings Richard Massengill, Jerilyn Hindman (Thomas), and Michael Massengill (Felicia). Tammy was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Marilyn Massengill. Private services will be held at a future date in Plymouth, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Catholic Services Appeal PO Box 22723 Jackson, MS 39225 or online at https://www.givecentral.org/appeals-form-registration/acp654b2622c815a/user/guest
