Terry H. Hairston passed on Sunday August 18 after a long illness at 88 years old. He was born in Columbus, MS to Brown C. Hairston and Cecile Terry Hairston. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Forestry and later moved to Jackson and became a realtor. He married his wife, Barbara Sullivan, and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage. He was a lifelong scout and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed numerous activities including: hunting, camping, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, and kayaking. He is survived by: His wife, Barbara Hairston, His two children: Terry(Carrie) Hairston, of Maimi, NM, and Tanya(Ed) Kosmicki, of Brandon, MS, A Brother, Brownie Hairston, of Pelahatchie, MS, and, Seven Grandchildren:, Chessa Kosmicki, of Brandon, MS, Lucien Hairston, of Albuquerque, NM, Hunter Hairston, of Miami, NM, Quinn Kosmicki, of Brandon, MS, Avery Kosmicki, of Brandon, MS, Molly Hairston, of Maimi, NM, Tucker Hairston, Maimi, NM. A family service was held in the Prayer Garden at St. Peters by the Lake Episcopal Church on August 20, 2024.
