Q: What will you never forget about David?
A: I will never forget how David was able to tolerate his sister’s narcissistic personality disorder. He and I talked about her at length, and while she clearly bothered him and likely contributed to the acceleration of his stomach cancer, he could never find it in his heart to cut her off completely, even though he’d tried several times. I know David is in a better place. Hell, any place is better than being around Jill!!!

Matt was so special to all of us at work. He brought us joy, made hard-to-understand things easier, insisted on working relentlessly during his cancer battle, always pushed us to be better, and had the biggest heart! We will miss him each day.

I was privileged to work with Matt for the last five years and during that time, I greatly enjoyed the friendship I was able to create with Matt. Matt was a bright light, always showing kindness to everyone around him, and filling every room with smiles and laughs. I especially enjoyed chatting about Disney with Matt since we were both always planning a trip, or chatting about our beloved fur babies. Matt was such a wonderful individual whom I will miss dearly. I am sending love and God's healing arms of comfort to surround the Duckworth family.

I wanted to say how sorry I was your loss and offer my condolences . I was a Sigma Chi at USM and knew Matt well . I will always cherish the memories we made while we were at USM and members of Sigma Chi and the visit I recently was able to have where we shared memories and were able to catch up.
