Brenda Maggio Cummins, age 74, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born on January 30, 1950 to Sam Maggio and Mable Maggio in Greenville, MS. Brenda was a graduate of St Joesph Catholic School in Greenville, MS where she was a resident for the first 55 years of her life. She spent the majority of her career on the logistics and operations side of the tow boat industry. When Brenda was not working she spent her time running her sons, Chad and Neil, from practice to practice and game to game. She was their biggest fan and supported them in all they did. Brenda lived in Greenville until her first two grandchildren, Olivia and Megan, were born and she couldn’t get to Madison fast enough. Her life as grandmother consisted of going to all the plays, pageants, games, and whatever else Olivia, Megan, Kate Neil and Chad were doing. Brenda married Billy Cummins in 2018 and moved to Canton where she fell in love with the country life. She enjoyed the cows, ducks, geese, cats, her dog sugar and the many flowers she planted. Billy and Brenda spent their spare time traveling, mostly to the Caribbean and wherever they could take the RV. Brenda was an active member of Pinelake Church Madison. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and has been reunited with her mom and dad in heaven. Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Billy Cummins of Canton, MS; Two Sons, Chad (Amy) Davidson of Madison, MS, Neil (April) Davidson of Madison, MS; Four grandchildren, Olivia Davidson of Madison, MS, Megan Davidson of Madison, MS, Kate Neil Davidson of Madison, MS, Chad Davidson, Jr. of Madison, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating her life will be at 12:00 pm in the chapel at Natchez Trace Funeral Home with the interment to follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
