Obituary of Robert Zerbin

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Zerbin was born on December 7, 1964, in Portland, Oregon, to Al and Lydia (Anton) Zerbin. When his parents divorced, Lydia remarried, and Robert grew up in a large, blended family. Despite occasional teasing, Robert cherished his childhood, filled with family meals and outdoor activities. In high school, he moved to Hebo, Oregon, to live with his dad. Excelling academically as an IP student, he later fished on his father’s commercial boat. After marrying Michelle Utter and having two sons, Aaron and Jason, Robert moved to Bend, Oregon, following their divorce. He worked as a master technician at a car dealership and eventually married Gena in 1999. The couple enjoyed a rich life in Bend, renovating their farmhouse and creating fond memories with family and friends. Robert played a significant role in helping to raise Gena’s two sons, Tyler and Cody, and was very proud of his four sons. In 2021, they relocated to Madison, Mississippi, for a lower-stress life closer to his family, where Robert found joy as a golf cart repair technician. Robert recently remarked on how blessed and grateful he has been for these three years of reconnecting with his mother and sister, and for the new friends he has found there.
