Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our precious Frances Surratt completed her earthly journey with us, Saturday, October 5, 2024. We know she was met by her late family, friends and loved ones with Jesus as she was welcomed into the heavenly realm for her eternal resting place. Born Mary Frances Surratt, January 2, 1947, in Selmer, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Mary Lee and Barnell Surratt. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Jack Carpenter, and her father, Barnell Surratt. Frances attended both Memphis State University and the University of Southern Mississippi. She worked in Corporate Retail as well as in her own Independent Business ventures. Mama loved to read, especially old murder mysteries, and loved to think about complex topics such as Quantum Physics. She was a very intelligent, funny, wonderful lady. She was a loving mother to her 3 children and the most devoted grandmother to her 7 grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Martha Nelle Lowe (Bobby) of Laurel, her children Amber Lindsey Kyle (Patrick) of Brandon, Lady Heather Lindsey of Ridgeland, and John Taylor Lindsey of Jackson, as well as her niece, Mary Ann Daughdrill (Shane) of Laurel. Her grandchildren were her absolute world and she is affectionately known as Mamie to Emilee Grace DeForrest (Jacob), Brandon-Miguel Jose’ Garcia, Ashley Lindsey Kyle, Parker Brown Kyle, Jackson McLaren Lindsey, Jay Mareina-Frances Lindsey, and Juliet StClare Lindsey as well as her great-grandchildren Braxton James and soon to be born Raylee Dawn. She is survived by her former spouse, Jim Lindsey, with whom she maintained a close supportive friendship after their separation.
