Obituary of Charles O. Alexander
Charles O. Alexander, Jr., age 73, of Madison, passed away on March 24, 2018 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born on July 21, 1944 to his late parents, Charles and Margie (Nicholson) Alexander in Meridian, MS. He graduated with an Associate Degree in Drafting before attending Mississippi State University. He worked for many years for Mississippi Steel Services before entering private practice for himself as a Draftsman. He raised his family in Clinton prior to moving to Madison. In 1999 he met Deborah Daniell Barton and they were married. An avid outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed watersports, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed lake life at his home at Lake Lorman. His interest included oil painting, photography, Mississippi State sports and spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his loving spouse Deborah Alexander; daughter Lisa Oberhausen (Tommy) and their children Morgan Oberhausen and Ashley Oberhausen, daughter Leslie Wilkinson (Brian) and their children Madalyn Wilkinson and Alex Wilkinson; step daughter, Laura Barton Smith (Steven) and their child Bradley Smith and step son, Scott Barton (Patricia) and their children Biannca Barton and Jake Barton. Mr. Alexander is also survived by three nephews; Phil Hunt, James Hunt and Alex Hunt.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Ann Hunt.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, MS. with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am. A graveside service will take place in the Pachuta City Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
