Thomas Troy Ryals, age 60, passed on December 5, 2024, at his home in Jackson. Troy was the son of Marshall Thomas Ryals and Joyce Ann Collins Ryals. Born in D'Iberville, Mississippi, Troy was self-employed and worked in the construction and remodeling industry. He was the owner and operator of Maintenance Doctor serving Madison County, Rankin County and Hinds County. In 1992, Troy came to Jackson to stand in a wedding and there he met his future wife, Lakely Smith. He never returned to the coast. In 1998 he married Lakely on Valentine's Day and they remained in Jackson. He had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, and he traveled across the United States with his friends and occasionally Lakely would ride along with him. Troy is survived by his wife Lakely Ryals, son, Trey Ryals and his wife Josie; grandson, Jace Ryals; father, Marshall Thomas Ryals; sister, Stacey Johnson and her husband Pascal; nieces and nephews, Sienna, Baron, Baylor (Shelby), Katy, Penny, Cody, Noel, and April and brother-in-law, Glenn Smith (Holly). Troy is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Ann Ryals. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday December 14, 2024, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
