Betty Hughes Jackson, 82, was born September 5, 1942, in Carthage, MS. The daughter of Joe Galloway Kemp and Arlis Odessa Logan Kemp, she worked in Beauty Supply Sales for over 50 years. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had resided in Madison County since 1961 and attended church at Northminster Baptist Church in north Jackson. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ted Jackson; son, Tim Hughes and his wife Kristen, granddaughter; Haileigh H. Wolfe and her husband Mitchell; grandson, Campbell C. Hughes; her great granddaughter, Margaret "Margot" Wolfe; brothers, Larry Kemp and Gilbert Kemp; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Teresa Darlene Hughes; sister, Dell Wood; and brother, Joe Kemp. Visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home from 9:00am until 11:00am with the funeral service at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.
